What is a real-time AI face filter?

A real-time AI face filter uses a generative video model to produce a new version of your face as you move. You describe the look with photos and settings, and the model renders it live from your camera feed.

Traditional filters versus generative AI

Traditional filters track points on your face and attach stickers, makeup layers or 3D masks. They are fast but always look like something sitting on top of you.

Generative AI filters rebuild the whole image of your face, hair and lighting. That is why they can turn you into a cinematic character or an anime version of yourself, rather than adding ears to a selfie.
